As a Senior TechOps Engineer at our Pune office, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and scaling our infrastructure to ensure high availability and drive continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include the following: - **Linux System Administration**: - Expert-level administration of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. - **Networking**: - Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, segmentation), including troubleshooting network connectivity issues. - **Security**: - Implementing and maintaining security best practices, including system hardening, patching, vulnerability management, and firewall configuration. - Experience with OpenSSL, fail2ban, and OpenPGP is highly desirable. - **Virtualization & Cloud**: - Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS). - Ability to manage and scale a large virtualized environment (500+ VMs). - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform is a plus. - **Automation**: - Proficiency in automation tools (SaltStack preferred, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef considered). - Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, YAML, Groovy) for automating tasks and deployments. - **Monitoring & Logging**: - Setting up and maintaining monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk. - Proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and system issues. - **Disaster Recovery**: - Contributing to the development and execution of disaster recovery plans. - Ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime in the event of a system failure. - **Continuous Improvement**: - Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives for repetitive issues, automating tasks, and optimizing system performance. - **Collaboration & Communication**: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - **DevOps Practices**: - Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools, including Git (Bitbucket/GitLab), Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
