As a Senior TechOps Engineer at our growing team in Pune, you will play a critical role in maintaining and scaling our infrastructure to ensure high availability and continuous improvement. Your deep expertise in Linux systems, networking, security, and automation will be key to your success in this role. You will be responsible for expert-level administration of Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu, which includes tasks like installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Additionally, your solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and segmentation will allow you to effectively troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Implementing and maintaining security best practices will be a significant part of your role, including system hardening, patching, vulnerability management, and firewall configuration. Experience with tools like OpenSSL, fail2ban, and OpenPGP will be highly advantageous in this regard. Your extensive experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and KVM, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS, will enable you to manage and scale a large virtualized environment of 500+ VMs effectively. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform will be a valuable asset. Automation will be a key focus area for you, where your skills in tools like SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, along with scripting languages like Bash, Python, YAML, and Groovy, will be crucial for automating tasks and deployments. Setting up and maintaining monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk will help you proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues. You will also contribute to disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity and minimal downtime in case of system failures. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a part of your responsibilities, where you will identify and drive initiatives to automate tasks, optimize system performance, and address repetitive issues. Strong collaboration and communication skills will enable you to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and solve problems with attention to detail. Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines, along with experience in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, will be beneficial. Additionally, any experience with databases will be seen as a plus.
