Senior Technical Writer

You will be a Senior Technical Writer at Responsive's Coimbatore location, responsible for creating technical documentation, manuals, and communication materials to support the company's products and services. Your main responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and enhancing product documentation such as user guides, API documentation, FAQs, and release notes. This role will require you to collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and UX designers to translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content. Your day-to-day tasks will involve ensuring that the documentation is structured, concise, and aligned with company standards and branding guidelines. You will need to identify documentation gaps, proactively improve content based on user feedback and product updates, and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure that the documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively supports customer needs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to documentation strategy, style guides, and best practices to enhance consistency and usability. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Markdown is a plus for this role. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A solid understanding of technical writing principles, structured documentation, and information architecture is also essential. To be successful in this role, a Bachelor's degree in English, computer science, or a related field is preferred. You should have at least 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in SaaS, cloud-based applications, or enterprise software. Experience with documentation tools such as Markdown, Zendesk, Paligo, familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger and Postman, and the ability to work with engineering teams on technical content are advantageous. Experience in working within Agile development environments and using tools like Jira and Git will also be beneficial for this position.,
