Description
As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software features in the next generation of routers that form the core of Nokia s IP product offerings. These routers power critical networks, including mobile backhaul, content distribution, data centers, and provide low-latency, resilient IP cores for communication and cloud service providers. You will be responsible for owning software features end-to-end, writing efficient automation code, and collaborating closely with product management and development teams to meet customer requirements. DCN2025 You have: 2-4 years of experience in networking technologies. Experience with Layer-2 switching and Layer-3 routing technologies. Proficiency in routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, and BGP. Knowledge of multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP) and MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE). Strong attention to detail and methodical problem-solving skills. Bachelor s degree or higher in Electronics & Communications, Computer Science, or equivalent fields. It would be nice if you also had: Experience with segment routing and EVPNs with VXLAN, MPLS, and SR-TE underlays. Experience working in virtualized environments such as KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes. Take end-to-end ownership of software features, ensuring robustness and quality across products. Write modular, efficient, and scalable automation code to improve testing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet customer requirements. Perform testing across networking technologies such as Layer-2 switching, Layer-3 routing, and routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP). Validate multicast protocols, MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE), and segment routing technologies. Ensure QoS mechanisms (policers, schedulers, shapers) are functioning properly. Leverage automation tools and scripting languages like Python and Golang to streamline testing. Work in virtualized environments (KVM, Docker, Kubernetes) and continuously learn new methodologies and tools.
