Job Profile:

Designation:Senior Team Lead Verifier

Role: Lead Verifier

Department: Verification

Stream: Compliance

Location: Delhi/NCR

(A) Incumbent would be responsible for below key activities:

(i) Conduct verification of GHG emissions, GHG emission intensity, monitoring plans, and compliance performance of obligated entities

(ii) Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conformity of reported data

(iii) Ensure end to end completion of assignments including but not limited to:

- Pre-contractual reviews assessing the scope, understand entity/ projects, assess required time and cost efforts

- Planning create schedules, data sampling, materiality thresholds etc.

- Execution Lead and supervise on ground verification including site visits, interviews etc.

- Review the reports and back up documentation

(iv) Ensure proper and adequate documentation, as deemed necessary, for future reference and audit purposes

(v) Engage in business development activities for expansion of business

(B) Others

(i) Lead team of professionals and provide guidance for meeting organizations objectives

(ii) Represent and maintain connects with industry bodies and other market participants

(iii) Keep updated with recent development/ changes in the regulations and share knowledge within the team

(iv) Assist with development and maintain internal processes and controls within organization

(v) Liaison with Service providers, sector experts etc.

Qualifications/ Experience/ Skills

A. Technical

(i) Bachelors or Master’s in:

- Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental)

- Environmental Science / Climate Science

- Energy Management / Sustainability

(ii) Certifications

- Accredited Energy Auditor by the Bureau of Energy efficiency

- Lead verifier certification – ISO 14064 1/2/3

- Any other certifications, in the area of GHG/ Energy audits/ verifications

B. Experience/ Skill/ knowledge:

- 8+ years, with at least 3-5 years as Lead Verifier

- Ability to apply fundamental verification concepts, including risk management, evidence gathering, auditing techniques, and the application of the level of assurance

- Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and procedures, including the Energy Conservation (Amendment) Act, 2022, the Environment Protection Act, 1986, and the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS), 2023

- Understanding of GHG emission sources and associated technologies, and expertise related to the monitoring and reporting of GHG emissions

Preferred candidate profile
