(A) Incumbent would be responsible for below key activities:

independent, impartial, and technically competent validation and verification

(ii) Ensure that project follows approved methodologies and eligibility criterion

(iii) Ensure compliance with procedures for Offset mechanism under CCTS

(iv) Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conformity of reported data

(v) Ensure end to end completion of assignments including but not limited to:

- Project Validation Project design documents, on-site assessments, interviews, preparation of validation reports, submission to BEE, follow-up inquiries etc

- Verification Review of Monitoring Reports from project proponent, review of data/ records, on-site visits/ interviews, recalculations and cross-verification, assess material discrepencies, issuance of Verification report etc

(vi) Ensure proper and adequate documentation, as deemed necessary, for future reference and audit purposes

(vii) Engage in business development activities for expansion of business

(B) Others

(i) Lead team of professionals and provide guidance for meeting organizations’ objectives

(ii) Represent and maintain connects with industry bodies and other market participants

(iii) Keep updated with recent development/ changes in the regulations and share knowledge within the team

(iv) Assist with development and maintain internal processes and controls within organization

(v) Liaison with project proponents, Service providers, sector experts etc

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification/ Skills/ Experience

Technical

(i) Bachelor’s or Master’s in:

- Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental)

- Environmental Science / Climate Science

- Energy Management / Sustainability

(ii) Certifications

- Lead verifier certifications for ISO 14064 1/2/3 from the Bureau of Energy efficiency

- Any other certifications, in the area of GHG/ Energy audits/ verifications

- 8+ years, with at least 5 years as Lead Verifier.

- Well versed with carbon markets, MRV (Measurement, reporting verification) systems, energy audits, sustainability, or climate verification.

- Knowledge of national carbon policy, CCTS framework, offset methodologies, and MRV processes

- Experience in conducting audits/third-party verifications.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
