Role Overview

Senior System Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Server & Hardware Management

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers
• Perform diagnostics, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on server hardware

• Network Infrastructure

• Manage and configure switches, routers, and structured cabling
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues

• Firewall & Security

• Administer and maintain

  Sophos Firewall

  and other security appliances
• Implement network security policies and ensure compliance

• Active Directory & Identity Management

• Manage users, groups, GPOs, and domain services in Active Directory
• Ensure secure authentication and access control

• Operating Systems

• Deploy and maintain latest versions of

  Windows Server

  and

  Windows OS

• Provide support for

  Mac OS

  environments (added advantage)

• Telecom & Access Systems

• Administer

  EPABX systems

  , biometric devices, and access control systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot

  CCTV surveillance systems

• Backup & Recovery

• Configure and manage

  VERITAS Backup

  solutions
• Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery readiness

• Monitoring & Maintenance

• Perform system audits, patch management, and performance tuning
• Monitor system health and ensure high availability

• Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and incidents
• Generate reports for audits, compliance, and performance reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5 - 6 years of hands-on experience in system administration
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, switches, and Sophos Firewall
• Proficiency in Active Directory and Windows Server environments
• Experience with EPABX, biometric, and CCTV systems
• Working knowledge of

  VERITAS Backup

  tools
• Exposure to

  Mac OS

  environments is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Sophos Certified Engineer optional
• VERITAS Certified Specialist (VCS) optional
• CompTIA Network+ / Security+ optional
• Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) optional
