Senior Structural Engineer

You will be joining RINA's office in Mumbai within the Plant Engineering Division as a Senior Structural Engineer. In this role, your main responsibilities will include designing structures, configuring structures, selecting appropriate building materials, inspecting construction work, and ensuring the structural soundness of buildings and structures under the supervision of a principal engineer or managing engineer. Your key accountabilities will involve designing and analyzing structural elements to ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, performing structural calculations on pressures, loads, and stresses, considering the strength of construction materials, developing engineering studies relevant to design and certification of building structures, providing technical advice on safe designs and construction, obtaining necessary approvals, monitoring work carried out by contractors, inspecting properties and foundations, providing support to project elements, engineers or engineering teams, developing project schedules, preparing technical deliverables, and ensuring activities are executed in accordance with the RINA Quality Management System. To be eligible for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Building Engineering or Civil Engineering, along with a minimum of 20 years of experience in structural engineering or related fields. You should possess expertise in designing and analyzing structural elements, performing structural calculations, understanding construction materials, providing technical advice, and project management skills.
