We are looking for a Senior Storage Administrator with experience in managing enterprise storage environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to platforms like VNX, Synology, and Pure Storage, along with basic experience in Linux and VMware environments. This role is focused on day-to-day administration, monitoring, and operational support of storage infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily monitoring, health checks, and routine maintenance of storage systems (VNX, Synology, Pure Storage).

2. Execute provisioning tasks (LUNs, volumes, shares, basic zoning/masking) based on business requirements and SOPs.

3. Provide first- and second-level troubleshooting for storage-related incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed.

4. Assist in integrating storage with Linux and VMware environments under supervision.

5. Monitor storage performance and capacity, generating usage and health reports for management.

6. Support implementation of data protection processes, including backups (Veeam) and replication tasks.

7. Follow security and compliance guidelines to ensure storage systems are protected from unauthorized access.

8. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and operational procedures.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (server, virtualization, and network) to resolve issues and support projects.

10. Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely updates on incidents and service requests.

Qualifications:

11. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field.

12. 3–6 years of experience in storage administration and support.

13. Basic working knowledge of VNX, Synology, and Pure Storage platforms.

14. Familiarity with Linux system administration and basic shell scripting (added advantage).

15. Understanding of VMware vSphere concepts and integration with storage.

16. Knowledge of storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, and SMB (Fibre Channel exposure is a plus).

17. Exposure to backup technologies (Veeam or equivalent).

18. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

19. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

20. Relevant certifications (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, VMware, Linux Foundation) will be an added advantage.
