Role & responsibilities ;- A Food and Beverage (F&B) Supervisor in a hotel is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel's food and beverage service, ensuring high standards of customer service, and managing staff . This includes supervising staff, monitoring inventory and costs, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and assisting with service during peak hours. Key Responsibilities: Supervising Staff: This involves training, scheduling, and providing guidance to servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff. Ensuring Customer Service Standards: F&B Supervisors ensure that guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service, and they handle customer complaints and feedback. Inventory Management: They monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimize waste and ensure adequate supplies are available. Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety: F&B Supervisors ensure that all areas are clean, organized, and comply with health and safety regulations. Cost Control: They monitor expenses, manage budgets, and look for ways to control costs without compromising service quality. Coordination with Kitchen and Other Departments: They work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery and coordinate with other departments like housekeeping and front desk. Assisting During Service: F&B Supervisors may step in to assist with service during peak hours, such as seating guests, taking orders, or serving food and beverages. Menu Planning and Promotions: They may assist with developing new menu items, creating promotional offers, and planning special events. In essence, the F&B Supervisor acts as a crucial link between management and staff, ensuring smooth and efficient food and beverage operations while maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
