Senior Staff Engineer, Data Engineering

As a highly motivated and experienced hands-on software engineer, you will be joining the Global Risk Operations team in Bangalore, India. Your role will involve providing technical leadership by making tech direction decisions, designing architecture, developing end-to-end solutions, deploying systems, and monitoring production. You should have extensive experience in risk field and invoicing platform development, a strong background in complex software platforms, excellent communication skills, and a drive to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Challenge the status quo and drive better technical solutions for the risk needs of WEX - Collaborate with leaders in Risk Operations Product and Compliance to develop effective technical solutions - Build and grow a strong global risk operations engineering team - Leverage Data and AI platforms to address risk operations needs - Integrate risk operations platform with other products and systems - Define technical vision and strategy for global risk operations - Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to engineering teams - Ensure continuous improvement and fulfillment of security requirements **Qualifications Required:** - 10+ years of software design and development experience at a large scale - Extensive experience in data engineering and analytics; familiarity with Airflow and DBT is desirable - Experience in risk engineering and architecting risk platforms is a strong plus - Proficiency in cloud architecture tools and services like S3, EMR, Kubernetes, and Lambda functions - Strong leadership and partnership skills with exceptional analytical abilities - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; higher degree is a plus The company values innovation, integrity, execution, relationships, community, and excellence in serving customers.
