Senior SQL Developer/Application DBA

Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities1. Write optimized SQL queries for reports. 2. Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and constraints.3. Perform database tuning and performance optimization for existing queries by monitoring current performance and slowly degrading queries.4. Perform migration from Sybase to Oracle based queries as per requirementContributing Responsibilities1. Work closely with software developers, business analysts to understand requirements.2. Provide technical support and guidance on database best practices.3. Document database structures, processes, and procedures.Technical & Behavioral Competencies1. Strong proficiency in SQL2. Knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization3. Experience with Oracle. Sybase experience is optional4. Some knowledge of how Java applications connect with the Database. 5. Good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
