Mode of work: Hybrid (As of now it will be Remote)

Shift Timing: Shift Timing: 24*5 Support On call Support during the weekend (3.30 AM to 11.30 AM IST) or (11.30 AM to 7.30 PM IST)

Job Summary
The Senior DBA/Senior NOC a critical role in mentoring and maintaining the health and performance of enterprise systems by actively monitoring infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues in real-time, and communicating effectively with technical teams. This mid-level position focuses on SQL Server and Windows environments, with opportunities to grow in database administration and system operations.
Roles and Responsibilities : Monitor infrastructure and database systems using enterprise tools to detect and respond to alerts and anomalies. Perform initial triage and resolution of issues related to SQL Server and Windows environments. Escalate incidents according to defined procedures when resolution is outside scope. Communicate clearly and professionally with technical users during incident response. Respond to alerts and pages within SLA timeframes. Execute entry-level database tasks (e.g., backups, basic queries); escalate complex tasks as needed (training provided). Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and known issues. Follow internal SOPs and contribute to process improvement. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive support and responsiveness. Take ownership of service reliability and uptime. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (required).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in technical environments. Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
Ability to use and maintain monitoring tools for SQL Server and system performance.
Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and resolving issues. Detail-oriented with the ability to assess system-wide impacts. Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting tools (ping, nslookup, traceroute).
Eagerness to learn and grow in database and infrastructure technologies. Ability to absorb information from mentoring, documentation, and training resources. Understanding of enterprise networking and system environments.
Strong organizational and collaboration skills.

Experience
IT degree preferred or equivalent experience in SQL Server and system monitoring.
Experience in a 24/5 operations or support environment.
SQL-related certifications (preferred but not required).
Experience with cloud-based database platforms such as Azure SQL and Amazon RDS is highly preferred.
