1. Month-End Closure Financial Reporting
- Collaborate with the Head of Accounts to facilitate smooth month-end closing activities.
- Assist in analyzing expenses and preparing ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain precise schedules for accruals and prepayments to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
2. Financial Compliance Due Diligence
- Conduct detailed reviews of financial documents and processes to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Oversee account reconciliations across various financial accounts, including bank, vendor, customer, employee, and intercompany balances, to maintain data integrity.
3. Policy Procedure Development
- Support the creation and refinement of financial policies and procedures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize workflows and promote consistency and compliance.
4. Accounts Payable Operations
- Assist in accurately matching supplier invoices to stock receipt records, ensuring timely processing in line with organizational policies.
- Address and resolve queries related to Accounts Payable processes proactively, adhering to service level agreements and escalating unresolved issues as needed.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A professional accounting qualification (eg, CA Inter) is highly preferred.
- 8-9 years of comprehensive experience in accounting or related financial roles, demonstrating increasing responsibilities and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, reconciliation techniques, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in accounting concepts such as accruals, amortization, and depreciation.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Tally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear articulation of financial information.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills to support strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and develop a finance team.
- Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills for building strong relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and foster a positive working environment.
