Description
As a Journal Entry Processing Specialist at TMF Group, your main responsibilities will include: - Preparation of routine Journal Entries (JEs) requiring one-time approval and posting monthly Journal Entries in accordance with the accounting schedule. - Collation and processing of monthly accruals, preparation and posting of Bad Debts Accruals, management of Intercompany Billing processes, and conducting thorough review of closing data for accuracy and completeness. - Ensuring timely clearing of all posted transactions, preparing Customs Bill of Entry annexures as required, performing periodic inventory checks and reconciliation support. - Performing monthly Bank Reconciliations, processing and tracking Foreign Intercompany inward and outward remittances. - Providing necessary data and conducting reviews for GST/VAT filings, scrutinizing accounts for TDS and other related tax matters. - Preparation of Trial Balance, supporting the preparation of Financial Statements, compiling necessary data and schedules for various audits, and assisting in identifying and implementing GAAP adjustments. - Reviewing Vendor General Ledgers and Accrual General Ledgers for discrepancies and performing GST E-invoice verification efficiently as required. Key Requirements for this role include: - Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding and practical application of GAAP, solid knowledge of tax principles, experience with month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation. - Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, advanced skills in MS Excel, experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite), and accounting software (SAP) a plus. - Soft Skills: Attention to Detail, Organizational Skills, Problem-Solving ability, Time Management, Adaptability, Teamwork, and effective Communication Skills both verbal and written.
