Role Overview:

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to develop menus, lead kitchen operations, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene. You’ll play a key role in bringing creative ideas to life while ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing seasonal and innovative menus.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing procedures.
• Maintain exceptional quality control for taste, presentation, and consistency.
• Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and reduce wastage.
• Uphold strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Step into the Head Chef’s role when required.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong background in Indian cuisine, with openness to modern and global influences.
• Creativity and passion for developing innovative dishes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary degree or diploma preferred, but relevant experience equally valued.
