Senior Software Test Engineer

As a Manual Tester at our company, you will be responsible for performing thorough manual testing of web/mobile applications and APIs. This includes creating, maintaining, and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and test reports. You will identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar software. Collaboration with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members is essential in this role. You will conduct regression, smoke, and exploratory testing to ensure the quality of the software. Additionally, you will assist in writing and executing basic automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Postman, etc. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 4-5 years of experience in manual testing. A good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and the defect life cycle is required. Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla is preferred. Knowledge of basic SQL for database testing and exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar software is highly beneficial. A basic understanding of scripting languages like Java or Python is a plus. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. You should be able to provide feedback on usability, functionality, and overall user experience effectively. You should also be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Effective communication with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, is crucial. This is a full-time position with a morning shift schedule.
