Senior Software Test Engineer

Role Overview: You are required to join the Engineering team of the client as a Senior Software Test Engineer (Automation). In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of QA Engineers, designing and developing automated tests for the platform, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive testing strategy and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of QA Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment. - Design and develop automated tests for the core capabilities and features of the distributed platform, ensuring high quality and reliability. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive testing strategy and continuous improvement. - Create and maintain high-quality test cases for new features and enhancements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. - Develop automation tests for both API and UI components using your extensive experience. - Demonstrate proficiency in Linux-based operating systems and troubleshooting and debugging. - Utilize hands-on experience with cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s) to enhance testing processes. - Lead the development of automation tests using the Robot Automation Framework or Golang Based Test Framework like Ginkgo/Go-dog. - Champion best practices and methodologies in testing to maintain high standards of quality. - Collaborate with management to set strategic goals for the automation team and track progress toward those goals. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. - Proficiency in Python programming, Robot automation framework, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, Automation Testing, API & UI testing, Linux OS, and Golang Based Test Framework like Ginkgo/Go-dog is necessary. - CKA or CKAD certification is highly preferred. - Minimum 8 years of IT experience with a proven track record in automation and quality assurance. - Strong ability to lead and manage QA Engineers, develop automation tests, and troubleshoot issues effectively. - Proficiency in cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s) is a must. - Experience in setting and achieving strategic goals for automation teams is preferred.
