Senior Software Test Engineer

As a mid-level Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing production software on multiple projects of moderate to high complexity and scope from QA delivery through release. You will utilize your knowledge and practical experience to complete assigned tasks efficiently and timely, making technical decisions and contributing to schedules. In addition, you will work closely with senior team members to ensure the soundness of technical judgment and overall accuracy. Furthermore, you will coordinate testing efforts and provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members. Key Responsibilities: - Test web applications across multiple browsers - Participate in design and specification reviews - Ensure comprehensive test coverage and provide testing effort estimates - Identify, isolate, interpret, and report defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues - Develop test cases, conduct test case inspections meetings, and update tests - Plan, design, and execute tests - Build and maintain test environment/lab systems - Create effective test plans based on user stories or requirements specification - Follow Agile software development methodologies and recommend process improvements - Communicate technical issues to developers and test leadership - Write manual and automated test cases or frameworks - Oversee software defect tracking and regression for projects - Maintain technical quality control work on projects and ensure functionality and efficacy - Have thorough knowledge of release procedures and software defect tracking Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred - At least 4 years of directly related work experience - Equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education This job involves working on testing production software and collaborating with team members to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the software being tested.
