RESOURCE REQUIREMENT: Senior Software Engineering Manager Location: Hybrid Bangalore (2-3 days/week at WeWork MG Road) Time Zone: IST Contract Duration: 23 Years Job Description We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager for a long-term contract role. This is a hybrid opportunity for a player/coach who thrives on both writing code and growing teams. You will lead a team of engineers while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-impact technology solutions. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 3 full-stack engineers Provide mentorship, career development, performance reviews, and sprint planning Be hands-on with coding and system design as needed Collaborate with product managers and designers on feature requirements and timelines Own delivery of projects: set goals, track progress, and ensure timely execution Work closely with the Head of Engineering to evolve processes and architecture Foster a low-ego, high-performance engineering culture Required Skills & Experience: 7+ years total experience in software engineering 2+ years managing direct reports or engineering teams Strong full-stack development background Hands-on experience with: Typescript, Node.js Relational Databases (Postgres preferred) Modern Frontend Frameworks (Vue.js preferred; React/Angular acceptable) Cloud Infrastructure (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also acceptable) CI/CD best practices Startup experience is a plus Strong leadership and communication skills Bias for action with the ability to take initiative and deliver results
