Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and modern frameworks like Flask or FastAPI, along with experience in Kubernetes-based deployments. The ideal candidate will have 57 years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing backend services in cloud or on-prem environments.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python (Flask/FastAPI).
• Work with relational and time-series databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB).
• Implement efficient, secure, and scalable server-side logic.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage microservices on Kubernetes and Docker.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and cloud-native tools.

Requirements:

• 57 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in Flask or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of REST API design, authentication, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and container registries.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Good to have:

• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with message queues / streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Exposure to security best practices in distributed systems.
