Senior Software Engineer - React Native

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in React Native at Redpin in Hyderabad (Hybrid), you will be a crucial part of our B2C group's innovative initiative to develop our first React Native mobile application. Leveraging your expertise, we aim to unify platforms and deliver consistent, high-quality mobile experiences that align with our overarching mobile strategy. Your primary responsibility will involve architecting and implementing the foundational React Native mobile app utilized by multiple Redpin brands. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and high-performing user experience across iOS, Android, and web-on-mobile platforms. Additionally, you will guide our transition from native iOS/Android development to a cohesive React Native codebase, setting the standard for architecture, coding practices, testing, and release workflows. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with existing iOS, Android, and web engineers to design an integrated approach that maximizes the potential of React Native. Your leadership will extend to mentoring native engineers, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Furthermore, you will be expected to align technical decisions with customer impact and business value, working in partnership with product, design, and engineering leadership. To excel in this position, you should possess a proven track record of at least 5 years in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to hands-on React Native development. Your technical expertise should encompass JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency, mobile UI/UX design, and the ability to debug performance issues across various platforms. Experience in leading or contributing to mobile migrations from native iOS/Android to React Native is highly desirable, as is the ability to make strategic technical decisions in collaboration with engineering leadership. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to work effectively across functions and regions with clarity and empathy. A leadership mindset, demonstrated through previous experience in mentoring engineers and enhancing team-wide practices, will be advantageous in this role. While not mandatory, familiarity with Expo Framework, mobile testing libraries (such as Jest and Detox), continuous delivery best practices, and scalable UI system implementation in React Native are considered advantageous.
