As a Network Security Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Capturing required inputs to comply with MCSR, customer, standard, and regulatory requirements and delivering requirements compliance documents. - Owning and preparing security and network architecture as part of the product development process. - Developing, implementing, and configuring security controls, networks, and solutions such as L3 and L7 firewalls, followed by quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities. - Installing and hardening firewall and Ethernet switch security, implementing group policies, account restrictions, and resource administration. - Continuously monitoring, validating, and releasing third-party security patches to maintain system reliability. - Acting as an L4 support team member for security and network incident management, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, solution identification, and implementation. - Owning and preparing cyber security-related documentation for the delivery of products. - Setting up, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting laboratory networks, deployment tools, and technologies, including Ethernet switches and firewalls. - Configuring, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting TCP/IP networks according to a predefined reference architecture. - Defining, executing, and validating hardening guidelines for different products like Ethernet switches, PLCs, Linux PCs, Firewalls, etc. - Monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting cyber security and network solutions provided by Hitachi Energy. - Supporting the company in risk review and ensuring Hitachi Energy is protected from a legal and brand perspective concerning cyber security topics. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar field. - Knowledge of system administration, network infrastructure, configuration, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. - Understanding of network fundamentals, network security, and cyber security standards. - Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience and experience in local network maintenance. - Fluent in written and spoken English, with technical writing skills. - Ability to work independently with a sense of ownership and responsibility. - Communication and interpersonal skills, along with intercultural sensitivity. - Experience with industrial switches from vendors like Advantech, Moxa, Weidmueller, or Hirschman preferred. - Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
