Senior Software Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a solid technical understanding of software engineering principles and procedures including SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, and Agile methodologies.
• Lead a set of components within a sub-system and take end-to-end ownership and responsibility.
• Design and develop core platform features independently with high quality, while mentoring junior team members to drive successful outcomes.
• Responsible for subsystem feature design and development, including design alternatives, reviews, workload estimation, documentation, and regular progress updates to the Platform Leader.
• Advocate for software quality by promoting best practices and processes.
• Actively participate in global team collaborations to promote consistency and leverage synergies across common platforms.
• Support field issues related to platform software and ensure timely resolutions.
• Engage in requirements engineering, storyboarding, wireframing, software risk assessments, and use-case development.
• Maintain awareness of competitors and industry trends.
• Contribute to analysis and design using object-oriented architecture, UML, and design patterns.

Experience Requirement:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Experience in embedded or application software development.
• Demonstrated leadership in software design, development, and delivery.
• Experience supporting software platforms in production environments.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to discuss technical and project-related issues effectively.
