Senior Software Consutant - Doc1/EngageOne

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Doc1 Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in document composition and development, preferably with exposure to iSeries (AS/400) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality customer communication solutions using Pitney Bowes Doc1 / EngageOne platforms. Experience working in the Insurance domain is preferred. You will work closely with business analysts, testers, and stakeholders to deliver robust document output applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop document templates using Doc1 Designer / EngageOne Designer.
• Maintain and enhance existing Doc1 applications and document output solutions.
• Understand and interpret business and technical requirements to create document generation logic.
• Integrate Doc1 solutions with legacy and modern systems, preferably with iSeries (AS/400).
• Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT cycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, QA, and Project Managers.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for existing document systems.
• Follow best practices for source control, deployment, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Doc1 Designer / EngageOne Designer.
• Strong knowledge of document composition, data mapping, and dynamic content logic.
• Experience working with iSeries (AS/400) environments is highly desirable.
• Domain experience in Insurance is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with document output formats (PDF, PostScript, AFP, etc.).
• Experience with variable data printing and batch processing.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex document-related issues.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to EngageOne Server, Production Mail, or other Pitney Bowes suite tools.
• Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Shell).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and API integrations.
