About the Role:

Simulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and maintain

  dynamic simulation models

  in

  Aviva DynSim

  for systems involving:

• Rotating equipment

  : Blowers, compressors (centrifugal/reciprocating), turbines.

• Thermal systems

  : Heat exchangers (shell & tube, plate), combustors, fired heaters.

• Reactors

  : Gibbs reactors (equilibrium-based), catalytic reactors, reformers.
• Perform

  transient analysis

  to study startup/shutdown scenarios, trip events, and control system response.
• Integrate simulations with

  real plant data

  for model tuning and predictive maintenance.
• Support

  operator training simulators (OTS)

  by creating realistic equipment behavior models.
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize

  compressor surge control

  , heat exchanger fouling, and combustion efficiency.
• Conduct

  sensitivity studies

  to evaluate process modifications (e.g., feedstock changes, capacity expansions).
• Troubleshoot operational issues (e.g., vibration in blowers, combustion instability, reactor maldistribution).
• Document assumptions, validation results, and best practices for simulation workflows.
