Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer proficient in Shopify and WordPress platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions, ensuring high performance, and integrating third-party APIs and plugins to enhance website functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and WordPress websites with a focus on backend functionality.
• Create custom Shopify apps, WordPress plugins, and themes as per project requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and ERP/CRM systems.
• Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to deliver seamless solutions.
• Implement best practices for coding standards, database management, and version control (Git).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–5 years of proven experience in Shopify and WordPress backend development.
• Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, Liquid, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify API, WooCommerce, and custom plugin development.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end integration.
• Experience with server management, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git/GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Headless Shopify/WordPress setups.
• Knowledge of React.js or Next.js for API-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics tools.
