We are looking for a proficient and detail-oriented IT Engineer to support Windows and Linux servers in Cloud and on-premise environment. The candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows Servers, Ubuntu and RedHat servers, Virtualization using VMWare or Hyper-V. Should have understanding of Networking concepts and IT Security.
Knowledge:
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
Proficiency in Linux administration (RedHat or Ubuntu) Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V Knowledge on Docker,Kubernetes technology. Basic understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and switching. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and IP management.
Required Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team. Good communication and documentation skills. Willingness to work in rotational shifts or on-call support if required.
Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server and Linux (RedHat/Ubuntu) environments.
Perform server administration, including patching, monitoring, and performance tuning. Manage and troubleshoot VMware virtualization infrastructure. Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines and templates. Monitor system health and respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner. Collaborate with Level 1 support and escalate issues when necessary. Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution. Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Perform routine audits of systems and software. Provide support for Hyper-V environments (good to have). Assist with basic network troubleshooting and configuration.
