About The Role

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

• Perform end-to-end ETL testing using MS-SQL to validate data migration, transformation, and integration.
• Independently write, execute, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for test validation.
• Validate data mapping documents and ensure accurate source-to-target data transformation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to review and enhance mapping documents and test coverage.
• Verify migrated data through front-end applications to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Conduct functional testing of web portals and applications to ensure system reliability.
• Execute API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.
• Utilize automation testing tools and frameworks where applicable to improve test efficiency.
• Support performance and load testing using JMeter, SSIS, or similar tools.
• Document test cases, test results, and defect logs with clarity and precision.
• Participate in review meetings, ensuring quality standards and best practices are upheld.
• Provide mentorship to junior QA team members and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with software quality assurance methodologies and standards.
  

Required Skillsets

• Strong experience in ETL and database testing with MS-SQL.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, joins, functions, and stored procedures.
• Excellent understanding of data structures, data validation, and transformation logic.
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, and system testing.
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium and programming in Java (preferred).
• Exposure to API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or SSIS (added advantage).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality outcomes.
