The preferred candidate for the Senior QA Automation Engineer role should be based in or commutable to the Delhi/NCR region of India, working in hours that overlap with the Eastern Standard Timezone (EST). In this role, the selected candidate will support Kraft Heinz, a global leader in consumer packaged foods, by driving digital transformation through implementable strategies, cutting-edge technology, and data-driven innovation. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Apply Digital, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the QA automation strategy, ensuring the highest quality standards for web applications, APIs, and digital experiences. Responsibilities include leading test automation efforts, collaborating with front-end, backend, and DevOps engineers, and developing scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks. Proficiency in Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern testing methodologies is essential, along with experience in cloud-native environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and implementation of test automation frameworks using Playwright to ensure scalability and efficiency. - Design and execute automated test scripts to validate front-end and backend services for comprehensive test coverage. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testability requirements and enhance quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Develop and maintain end-to-end, regression, API, and performance test suites for consistent product reliability across environments. - Advocate for a shift-left testing approach and work closely with developers to promote best practices in unit testing and code quality. - Monitor and analyze test results, communicate detailed reports to leadership, and provide recommendations for improving test coverage and software quality. - Mentor junior and intermediate QA engineers, fostering an automation-first mindset and continuous learning culture. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in QA automation with a focus on end-to-end testing and automation frameworks. - Expertise in Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud-based test environments like GCP. - Strong understanding of front-end and backend testing strategies, Agile/Scrum principles, and software QA methodologies. - Experience with API testing tools, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation best practices.
