Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team at OpsTree. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in Java-based test automation, extensive experience in Selenium and Page Object Model (POM) design patterns, and hands-on expertise in API testing using Postman. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain robust automation frameworks to ensure the quality and performance of our products. Key Responsibilities: - Design, write, and execute detailed manual test cases, test plans, and scripts based on business and technical requirements. - Conduct functional, regression, UAT, and acceptance testing for web and mobile applications. - Perform Web Services/API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger. - Lead/contribute to the design, creation, and adoption of automation frameworks, providing guidance on best practices (preferred languages: Java, Python). - Conduct web automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, or equivalent. - Validate databases using SQL queries and scripts. - Execute performance testing to evaluate system behavior under load conditions. - Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test strategies, risk assessments, and test result reports. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the application functions meet business needs. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives. - Review system requirements and technical design documents for testability and completeness. - Mentor junior QA team members and review their deliverables to ensure high-quality output aligned with established testing frameworks. - Lead QA-related communication with business owners and stakeholders, providing test updates, risk analysis, and timelines. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in manual software testing, with additional hands-on automation experience. - Proficiency in test scenario design, test case creation, and test execution. - Expertise in API testing, SQL/database validation, and performance testing tools. - Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools like JIRA and TestRail. - Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with TestNG or JUnit. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins. - Working knowledge of tools like Maven or Gradle. - Understanding of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
