Overview of the Position :
We are looking to recruit a committed and motivated Sr. Project Associate to support our initiatives aimed at strengthening English language teaching in government regional medium schools. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in public education while gaining hands-on experience in content development, training coordination, and field-level implementation. The Sr. Project Associate will play an essential role independently to ensure smooth and effective delivery of training and content across all English Projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Content Development and Design (25%)
- Support in developing and revising ELT content, workbooks, training manuals, and digital lessons across projects.
- Prepare facilitator s guides, session plans, PowerPoints, and handouts for teacher trainings.
- Collect and collate field feedback, classroom observation notes, and training insights to inform content improvement.
- Ensure content quality, contextual relevance, and bilingual accessibility before submission to the production team.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure quality standards during content design and finalization.
- Maintain documentation of content development, field inputs, and version changes.
Training Delivery and Coordination (30%)
- Co-develop training schedules and materials in collaboration with the Lead/Manager.
- Co-facilitate teacher trainings, workshops, and refresher sessions using interactive ELT and bilingual strategies.
- Conduct pre- and post-training data collection, reflection sessions, and feedback analysis.
- Ensure smooth logistical arrangements, participant communication, and high engagement during training sessions.
- Document training outcomes, participant feedback, and field insights for continuous improvement.
- Support follow-up mentoring and on-site teacher support in coordination with the Lead.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation (25%)
- Independently conduct school and classroom observations to assess teachers use of CLR materials and strategies.
- Develop and administer observation and assessment tools in coordination with the M&E and Research team.
- Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback from teachers and students to monitor learning progress and classroom practices.
- Compile observation findings, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to strengthen program implementation.
- Support pilot testing of new content and training modules and document the results systematically.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly M&E reports and contribute to donor and internal reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation of field data, training sessions, attendance, and evaluation findings in digital repositories.
Project Planning and Implementation Support (20%)
- Coordinate with internal and field teams to ensure timely rollout of training and content-related activities.
- Maintain project calendars, timelines, and tracking sheets for ongoing deliverables.
- Provide operational and logistical support during workshops, review meetings, and field visits.
- Help prepare progress reports, updates, and documentation required by funders, leadership, and partners.
Requirement: Education & Experience
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Education, English, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- 2 4 years of work experience in education or development, preferably in content creation, teacher training, or programme implementation.
- Experience working with regional medium schools, teachers, or NGOs is highly desirable.
- Strong command of English and Marathi/Hindi/any other language both spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel regularly to field sites, sometimes at short notice.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
- Strong interest in language education, public education systems, and equity in learning.
- Good writing, documentation, and communication skills in English and Marathi.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and Google Suite; working knowledge of Excel for data analysis is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a semi-structured environment.
- High openness to learning and a problem-solving mindset.
- Attention to detail, ability to manage timelines, and multitasking effectively.
