Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead DVP&R planning for modular furniture systems, fittings, and polymer-based components.
• Conduct Design Validation Analysis (DVA) to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
• Perform stress, fatigue, and reliability analysis for furniture structures, hinges and fittings.
• Conduct soft analysis for product performance under load, moisture, and thermal conditions.
• Lead testing of laminates, polymers, adhesives, and coatings used in modular kitchens and wardrobes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to validate raw material properties and ensure consistency.
• Use ANSYS, Mold Flow Analysis, and SolidWorks to simulate product
• behavior and optimize manufacturability.
• Support mold flow simulations for injection-molded fittings and ensure robust design for manufacturing.
• Perform hands-on checking of 2D engineering drawings for accuracy, GD&T compliance, and manufacturability.
• Review and validate 3D CAD models for design intent and assembly fit.
• Analyze and verify Bill of Materials (BOMs) for completeness and accuracy.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product failures, customer complaints, and warranty claims.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and furniture industry regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and quality coordinators.
• Drive collaboration with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to embed quality into every stage of product development.

Requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in product quality or product engineering, ideally in modular furniture, white goods, or consumer durables.
• Strong expertise in DVP&R, DVA, stress and reliability analysis.
• Hands-on experience with polymers, laminates, and material testing.
• Proficiency in CAD and simulation software: SolidWorks, ANSYS, Mold Flow Analysis.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T, 2D drawings, 3D model validation, and BOM management.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems.
