As a Senior Quality Engineer at Rockwell Automation, your role will involve direct interactions with both internal and external customers to provide full product lifecycle support. You will be responsible for implementing preventive quality actions to ensure quality is built into product and process designs. Your tasks will include developing, evaluating, revising, and applying technical product quality protocols and methods to support various projects such as field complaint resolution, failure analysis, Continuation engineering projects, and continuous improvements. You will work within a matrixed and collaborative environment. Reporting to the Team Lead, Product Quality, you will be based in our Chennai plant in Kancheepuram, India, working in an onsite capacity. Your responsibilities will include: - Product/Process Design and Development: Ensuring customer requirements are integrated into product/process/solution design, developing product quality plans, supporting Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and embedding quality verifications into the design process. - Product Testing: Incorporating risk-based elements into test procedures, evaluating test results, and driving corrective and preventive actions. - Customer Issue Management: Leading resolution cycles, guiding field actions, defining corrective and preventive actions, and monitoring outcomes. - Risk and Compliance: Implementing risk mitigation plans, conducting quality audits, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance. - Analytics and Data Management: Monitoring dashboards, metrics, KPIs, and data validation, and identifying opportunities for process automation. The essential qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering, or equivalent, along with five years of quality engineering experience in an industrial setting. Experience with automation products and applications is preferred, as well as proficiency in quality engineering analytical tools and problem-solving techniques. You should be able to work effectively within a matrix organization on a global scale. Preferred qualifications include the ability to think about quality from a customer's perspective, manage quality programs for large-scale projects, and make data-driven decisions. Additionally, you should demonstrate confidence, positive demeanor under pressure, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
