Senior Product Owner

As a Senior Product Owner in the Risk and Compliance business at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in managing the vision and development of products to meet business objectives. With over 12 years of work experience, you will utilize your strong background in product management to oversee the end-to-end project life cycle. Your responsibilities will include conveying the vision of what is to-be built to Business/Solution Architects and Agile Team, expressing team backlog items with acceptance criteria, and prioritizing them effectively. You will manage a front door process for accepting new items into the backlog, ensuring alignment with the broader HSBC strategy and maximizing re-usability of existing assets. Collaboration with the Agile Team is key as you work closely to inspect and assure the work being delivered, holding yourself accountable for the successful delivery of backlog items in line with the vision. Communication with business and technology stakeholders will be a core aspect of your role, resolving conflicting priorities and acting as the primary liaison with users and stakeholders. Your role will also involve leading the promotion and communication of the vision to the wider organization, supporting and coaching other Product Owners in different Agile Teams to drive increased agile maturity at HSBC. A comprehensive understanding of products, services, underlying processes, technology roadmap, and external industry trends will be essential to keep the backlog relevant and aligned with business and user needs.
