Senior Process Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Process Design Engineer in Mangalore with 7-15+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, your primary responsibility will be to handle basic and detailed engineering projects related to various sectors including Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Power, Infrastructure, and Industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Develop PFDs and P&IDs - Create data sheets and specifications for equipment and instruments, piping special parts - Prepare schedules including equipment lists, line lists, and elec. load lists - Conduct Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC) for plot plan, equipment layout, piping model/layout, isometrics, and data sheets - Review vendor data for process equipment - Design Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs), Process Safety Diagrams, Material Selection Flow Diagrams (MSDs), Pressure and Temperature Diagrams (PTDs), and Utility demand calculations - Perform Mass Balance and Heat Balance using HYSYS - Check and prepare control valves calculations - Develop Trip logic diagram/control Philosophy - Create CAUSE AND EFFECT DIAGRAM (BS-132/BS-131) for safe plant shutdown - Handle Material Requests for Process Equipment - Design and Size Heat Exchangers - Prepare project reports, flow diagrams, layout, and equipment specifications - Conduct Surge analysis calculation and Hydraulic analysis for long-distance pipeline - Size critical lines, perform hydraulic and sizing validations - Design, Size, and Select Pumps (Centrifugal/Reciprocating) - Calculate Pumps hydraulic parameters (NPSHA, NPSHR, SHUT OFF, Power requirement) - Design Flare System including network design, Relief valve or safety valve sizing, Drum sizing, and stack Sizing - Summarize Flare & PSV loads, perform Blowdown & Depressurization calculations using Hysys - Establish Control philosophy and ESD philosophy - Reduce Flare load/header size by following API Recommendations - Manage concurrent projects effectively Qualifications Required: - B. Tech / M. Tech. degree - Proficiency in software tools like HTRI, ASPEN HYSYS, Aspen Flare Net, Pipenet (standard and transient model), and Cost Estimation software/HYSYS for process design and analysis.
