Job Description

As an experienced Piping Designer with 8 to 10 years of experience, your primary role will involve developing equipment layouts and pipe routing for road freight modules. Your strong spatial awareness and design skills will be crucial in ensuring the functionality, maintainability, and accessibility of systems. Key Responsibilities: - Develop equipment layout and pipe routing for road freight modules, ensuring functional, maintainable, and accessible systems. - Model vessels using generic parameterized shapes in CAD software (AutoCAD Plant 3D / CADWorx), showcasing proficiency in 3D equipment modeling. - Import special shape reactors (STEP files) from the Mechanical Engineering Department and vendor-supplied 3D models of valves, pumps, and other components, ensuring accurate integration into the project. - Design and model pipe supports and hangers, applying knowledge of structural requirements and piping standards. - Supervise and assign workload to subordinate piping designers, leveraging leadership and organizational skills to maintain productivity and quality. - Coordinate and interface effectively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Sr. Principal Piping Engineers (Houston), Sr. Piping Designers (Gurgaon), and Process Engineering teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution. - Position equipment appropriately using PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment Process Data Sheets, and sized equipment lists, focusing on accessibility, maintenance, and cryogenic service design considerations. - Set up and manage project databases within CAD software, optimizing project workflows with an understanding of software-specific administrative functions. - Conceptualize preliminary steel framing shapes for skid/module supports, combining conceptual design skills with practical knowledge of structural support requirements.
