Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Programmer to lead the development and optimization of high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate is a seasoned backend developer who writes clean, efficient, and secure PHP code and is proficient in modern frameworks and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development using PHP (preferably Laravel or Symfony)
• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
• Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and security
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways
• Participate in architectural decisions and product planning
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development
• Strong experience with Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks
• Proficiency in MySQL or other relational databases
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and MVC architecture
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools is advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Working knowledge of testing tools (PHPUnit, Codeception)
• Contribution to open-source projects or technical blogs
