Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and seasoned Senior PHP Developer to join our dynamic team onsite in Kolkata. You will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing high-performing e-commerce platforms and scalable web applications. This role requires strong backend development expertise with a focus on Core PHP, Laravel, and modern web technologies in a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement backend solutions using Core PHP and Laravel.
Build and scale e-commerce platforms with integration of Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, and Solr.
Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external integrations, including mobile app backends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, DevOps, and QA for product delivery.
Optimize system architecture for scalability, speed, and security using tools such as AWS EC2, SQS, and SES.
Lead technical discussions, guide junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
Implement best practices in coding, testing, and performance tuning.
Participate in agile ceremonies and maintain documentation in JIRA and Confluence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Professional Scrum Master (PSM-1) certification preferred.
Additional certifications in Oracle or web development are a plus.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in Core PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript.
Proficiency in MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, and Solr.
Experience working with AWS services like EC2, SQS, SES.
Exposure to NestJS or Node.js frameworks is a strong plus.
Expertise in integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, PayU).
Understanding of microservices architecture and caching strategies.
Familiarity with version control (GIT) and agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to NestJS or Node.js frameworks is a strong plus.
Additional certifications in Oracle or web development are a plus.
