Senior Oracle Database Administrator Lead

Job Description

Key Skills: Oracle DBA, AWS Cloud, Solution Architect, Administration, Python Roles and Responsibilities: Manage IAM roles, KMS Keys, database encryption, certifications, policies, and accounts. 50% database responsibilities, 50% infrastructure (HA, DR, monitoring, performance metrics, optimization, cost efficiency). Architect, design, develop, and integrate tools/technologies for new or enhanced CI/CD enterprise solutions. Participate in discovery sessions with business stakeholders, vendors, and analysts for scalable and secure IT solutions. Provide DevOps coverage in application modernization design sessions and roadmap planning. Stay current with emerging database technologies and propose relevant adoptions. Participate in database design reviews and offer constructive feedback. Work with stakeholders to align business needs with data-driven solutions. Continuously improve DevOps and CI/CD processes through industry best practices and new technologies. Troubleshoot complex database issues under pressure. Participate in on-call rotations as needed. Provide off-hours/weekend support for P1 issues or scheduled patching events. Skills Required: Experience deploying, implementing, and managing database solutions on AWS including RDS, Aurora, EC2, etc. Hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; familiarity with MySQL or PostgreSQL. Proficiency with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket for managing SQL/database scripts - MUST. Strong understanding of CI/CD and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions - MUST. Expertise in scripting (Shell), CloudFormation templates, Terraform, and Azure. DevOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, scripting tools) - MUST. Strong experience with AWS services including RDS, S3, EC2 - MUST. AWS Solutions Architect Certification - MUST. OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) administration: deploy agents, troubleshoot, set up metrics and alerts. Advanced shell scripting; crontab setup; design and implementation of automated solutions for routine tasks. Experience with Oracle/Grid software patching (11g to 19c). Proficiency in RMAN backup, recovery, restore procedures, backup strategies, and recovery concepts. Dataguard administration including Failover, Switchover, and Roll Forward. Experience with replication services like AWS DMS, Golden Gate, and Data Guard. Education: Bachelor's Degree/ Master's Degree in related field
