Job Description: Node.js Developer (5+ yrs)

We are looking for a highly skilled Node.js Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker, and a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for modern web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js & Express.js.
• Build efficient, reusable, and scalable server-side components.
• Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling, performance tuning, and database management.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Implement containerization solutions using Docker for seamless deployment and scaling.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability across all backend services.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and maintain best practices within the team.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems for maximum efficiency.
• Stay updated with new tools, frameworks, and technologies in the Node.js ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Node.js & Express.js.
• Strong expertise with PostgreSQL (queries, stored procedures, optimization).
• Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Docker (containerization & orchestration).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to Have

• Experience with GraphQL or other API frameworks.
• Exposure to Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
