Responsibilities:
Application Development:

Design, develop, and maintain robust applications utilizing technologies such as ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.

Implement GIS technologies and mapping tools, including Mapbox and LeafletJS, to enhance mapping functionalities within Capital IQ Pro.

Integrate spatial data and generative AI capabilities into applications to provide advanced analytics and insights, enhancing user experience and decision-making processes.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work closely with a tight-knit team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Collaborate with developers across the globe to share knowledge, insights, and best practices, enriching the development process and fostering a culture of global teamwork.

Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative problem-solving sessions to foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Learning and Innovation:

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in application development, GIS technologies, and generative AI.

Proactively identify opportunities to integrate new tools and technologies into the development process to enhance application performance and user experience.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high standards of quality and performance.

Collaborate with QA engineers to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain clear and concise documentation of code, processes, and system architectures.

Provide regular updates on project progress and challenges to team leads and stakeholders.

Support and Troubleshooting:

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to users.

Provide support for end-users and stakeholders as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies:
Technical
Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and C#.

Experience with relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL, as well as caching technologies like Redis.

Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, for application deployment and management.

Strong understanding of GIS technologies and mapping libraries, specifically Mapbox and LeafletJS.

Knowledge of integrating spatial data and generative AI technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Commitment to using best practices in software development, including coding standards, version control, and documentation, to ensure maintainability and scalability of applications.

Analytical Thinking:

Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

Proficient in synthesizing information from multiple sources to inform decision-making.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant experience of 5 to 9 years in software development, particularly in application development and GIS technologies.
