Senior Mortgage Underwriter

Role Overview: The Shared Services function leverages the shared delivery model to provide operations delivery to Business Units across the organization, specifically focusing on the Commercial and Residential Mortgages vertical. As a member of the Shared Services division, your role will involve reviewing and verifying loan applications, analyzing loan risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, documenting loan conditions, identifying portfolio risks, and effectively communicating reasons for loan approvals or rejections. Additionally, you may be assigned other activities by your manager. Key Responsibilities: - Review and verify loan applications and support documentation - Analyze loan risk and request additional information as necessary - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies - Document and communicate loan conditions, requirements, and decisions - Identify portfolio risks related to client business practices - Effectively communicate reasons for loan approval/rejection - Perform any other activities assigned by your manager Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of recent US Mortgage live underwriting experience - Experience in compliance review, disclosures preparation, closing, doc preparation, or due diligence in the residential mortgage industry - Knowledge of current mortgage policies, procedures, compliance laws, regulations (including TRID), and understanding of regulatory changes - Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction - Excellent time management skills - Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters - Detail-oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills - Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office - Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude - Demonstrate professional behavior, punctuality, dependability, and adherence to company policies and procedures Company Additional Details (if available): This is a work from office role that requires working in US hours (India Night Shift).,
