Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer, your role will involve leading the design and development of components, assemblies, and complete machines for plastic processing applications. You will be responsible for creating 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks. Additionally, you will improve existing designs for performance, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. Collaboration with production, R&D, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth execution is crucial. Your duties will also include conducting design calculations, tolerance analysis, material selection, providing technical support during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning, as well as reviewing and validating designs created by junior team members. Ensuring adherence to industry standards and company design guidelines is essential. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of components, assemblies, and complete machines for plastic processing applications. - Create 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks. - Improve existing designs for performance, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. - Collaborate with the production, R&D, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth execution. - Conduct design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection. - Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning. - Review and validate designs created by junior team members. - Ensure adherence to industry standards and company design guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery design (preferably plastic processing machines). - Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory). - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and machine components. - Good understanding of GD&T, engineering standards, and material selection. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities.,
