Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, your role will involve utilizing your skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for various design tasks. You should have a strong background in 2D drafting, GA drawings, machining drawings, and drawings for manufacturing. Experience in 3D modeling, assembly design, and part detailing will be essential. Additionally, you must possess a basic understanding of plastic and sheet metal components design, including sheet metal fabrication and developing flat patterns for laser cutting. Familiarity with DFM principles is also required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drafting of components and assemblies, while ensuring technical drawing accuracy. - Generate BOM and part lists according to clients" requirements. - Engage in reverse engineering of parts and surface model files. - Collaborate with the senior design team to iterate on product designs. - Assist in prototyping and testing phases to ensure product quality. **Qualifications Required:** - Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. - Strong skills in 2D drafting, GA drawings, machining drawing & drawing for manufacturing. - Experience in 3D modeling, reverse CAD modeling, assembly design, and part detailing. - Basic understanding of plastic and sheet metal components design. - Experience in sheet metal fabrication and developing flat patterns for laser cutting. - Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
