Job Purpose:

Develop new products as per customer requirements/ as per organizational strategy & ensure that the new product

can be made as per target cost leading to achievement of targeted GVA

Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

1. Planning

• Conduct resource planning for the various projects to be completed.

• Ensure overall planning for the new and running projects.

2. Execution

• Execute the product designing in conformance to pre-defined technical specifications received / agreed

with customer.

• Execute the design release (authorized)

• Lead the Proto preparation activity.

• Execute change management for product as applicable.

• Execute APQP / customer development procedure (design related) (authorized)

• Execute internal APQP (as applicable to design) sign off. (authorized)

• Execute VAVE suggestion / implementation for achieving business goal.

3. Monitoring and Reviews

• Assist in preparing the commercial proposal for enquiries received (IFSR).

• Do project reviews and design reviews

• Do tech review meetings with customer through the life cycle of the project

• Finalize the product design and getting it approved from the customer.

• Participate as a member of design team in making cross-functional operational decisions.

• Participate in specification review with suppliers

• Participate in product validation along with testing team – Get sign-off from the customer

• Participate in the resolution of the customer complaints/ other product related problems – take required

CAPA

4. Team Management

• Ensure training need identification for design team

• Ensure KRA setting of entire design team

• Review performance of the team on the assigned projects (achievement of the KRAs as per the MFO/

MPCP)

5. Implementation of Systems and Improvements

• Identify and implement Kaizen.
