Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and tracking of all construction materials at the site.
Ensure real-time inventory updates using SAP
Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Conduct periodic stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation with accounts.
Ensure safe storage of materials like cement, steel, aggregates, MEP items, fit-out materials, equipment, and consumables.
Coordinate closely with the project team for material forecasting based on work schedules.
Prepare Material Requirement Plans (MRP) and track supply timelines.
Flag delays and risks to project managers and procurement.
Support procurement by providing accurate consumption data, site needs, and vendor performance feedback.
Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and suppliers for timely material delivery.
Verify delivery challans, invoices, and GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes).
Monitor quality of incoming materials and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when needed.
Plan unloading, storage, and movement of materials with logistics and site teams.
Maintain complete documentation related to inward/outward materials, stock registers, issue slips, and returns.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, auditing requirements, and statutory norms.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports: stock status, consumption reports, wastage analysis, and aging inventory.
Support internal and external audits.
Lead the stores team (Store Keepers, Assistants, Helpers).
Implement training on SAP usage, safety, material handling, and documentation.
Collaborate with site safety and engineering teams to ensure compliant storage practices.
