Senior Manager (Sourcing)

1. Develop sourcing strategies for respective category group.
2. Develop short-term/ long-term Part Development Strategy for categories including, Vendor Pricing / Cost, Contractual Relationships, Lead Time, Inventory Levels etc.
3. Continuously explore alternative sources of Part development.
4. Ensure strategic coordination with cross functional teams from R&D, Production, Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing Engineering functions to ensure effective planning and development.

Monitor the following activities for the respective category of Part development.

1. Vendor identification
2. Vendor qualification assessment and short-listing
3. Release of Request for Quotation/ Enquiry
4. Receipt of offers from vendors and Preparation of comprehensive comparative statements.
5. Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas.
6. Monitor the process of Commercial Negotiation Meetings and finalization of the most optimal price with the vendors.
7. Ensure obtaining of commercial concurrence.
8. Ensure set-up of Agreements with the finalized vendors, and timely release of Purchase Order, Sample approval and PPAP Approval.
9. Provide updates on lead times for Development to Senior Management.
10. Evaluate vendor capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and markets as dictated by business requirements.
11. Continuously evaluate vendor capacity, performance & take initiative for continuous improvement.
12. Explore cost reduction ideas through VAVE , Strip Down analysis and Bench marking
13. Focus on overall automation of development functionalities through best-in-class technology adoption through digitization
14. Coordinate with internal/external auditors to resolve queries and review post audit observations; identify and monitor improvement initiatives.
15. Develop an Annual Budget for the respective category under his/her control.
16. Monitor actual spend vs. budget on a regular basis to capture variations.
17. Capability of Team / People Handling.
18. Drive Daily Work Management through Team.
