Senior Manager, Research Informatics - Biological Studies

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:

    Lead and manage diverse teams within a matrixed organization. You will develop talent, motivate the team, champion diversity, and act as a role model of servant leadership.
  • Strategic Partnership:

    Partner with Research and Technology leaders to create technology delivery strategy and a prioritized agenda for Biological Studies. This includes ensuring scientific data operations are scoped into building Research-wide

    AI/ML

    capabilities.
  • Platform Implementation:

    Provide leadership for the implementation and support of specialized technology platforms that enable streamlined and automated scientific data management. This includes ensuring global standards and practices are followed.
  • Operational Excellence:

    Oversee operating and product team budgets. You will also be a point of contact for unmet service commitments and ensure communication of key performance metrics.
  • Compliance & Governance:

    Remain accountable for ensuring overall organizational compliance with

    GxP

    and Privacy requirements. You will facilitate best practice sharing and ensure ongoing alignment with the Technology & Digital strategy.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree with extensive experience, a Bachelor's degree with significant experience, or a Diploma with a substantial background in a relevant field such as

    Life Sciences, Computer Science, or Bioinformatics

    .
  • Demonstrated expertise in a scientific domain area and related technology needs.
  • Proven experience building strong teams with consistent practices in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical or technology organization is highly preferred.
  • Experience with

    GxP

    data and system validation, and knowledge of regulatory requirements (

    FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GLP, GCP

    ).
  • In-depth knowledge of

    Agile

    processes and principles for coordinated solutions and teams via

    SAFe

    .
  • SAFe Agilist, Certified Agile Leader

    , or similar certifications are preferred.
