Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

GST Litigation Associate/Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Litigation & Representation:

Draft and review replies to GST notices, show-cause notices, and appeals.
Represent clients before adjudicating authorities, appellate tribunals, and courts.
Assist in filing writ petitions and special leave petitions in High Courts and the Supreme Court.
Coordinate with legal counsel for complex litigation cases.

Research & Advisory:

Conduct in-depth legal research on GST matters, tax disputes, and regulatory updates.
Provide advisory services on GST compliance, tax structuring, and dispute resolution strategies.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure timely filing of appeals, rectifications, and other tax-related documentation.
Review GST audit reports and assist in responding to audit observations.

Stakeholder Management:

Liaise with tax authorities, government officials, and external legal teams.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless litigation management.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Background:
CA inter/CA/ Mcom specialization in Indirect Taxation.
Experience:
Minimum 3years in GST litigation, tax law, or indirect taxation.
Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, circulars, and case laws.
Prior experience in drafting appeals, petitions, and legal submissions.
Ability to interpret complex legal provisions and provide strategic advice.
Experience in appearing before GST authorities, appellate bodies, or courts.
Exposure to industry-specific GST issues (e.g., real estate, e-commerce, manufacturing)
Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
Familiarity with digital tax platforms and e-filing procedures.
